What could be more perfect than just lying back and watching the world go by with someone that you love. Here we have Love and Hope comforting each other, just ‘Daydreaming’ in a rowing boat on a perfectly still lake. The lily pads flowering and have slight trembling in the water with the fish mooching below in between their submerged stalks. The four hearts of the people that are important to you surrounding the boat and keeping everything steady and safe.
This piece was inspired during the Covid lockdown, I was lucky enough to be working on a rural estate that had a huge lake (this technically being my garden). The lake had a rowing boat and I spent many a day in the boat with my partner just ‘Daydreaming’ and feeling so lucky of having somewhere so beautiful to enjoy in such a dark time.
